I know football season is still a ways off and no one is talking baseball anymore I figured we could do a little polling. From the posts on the EA/ESPN thread I think most here are pro football fans (collage football is better! :eviltong: ) I was wondering who is your team? Mine is the Packers. I'm just curious so I will know who I'll still be speaking with after the season is over with.

And Firewalker, I saw your new avatar, you are not allowed to post here.

God bless you Kracker. With the 15 page long hockey thread I was beginning to get a bit nervous whether people talked about a real sport around here.

I bleed green, just not Packers green, Eagles green. Let's just say I'm hoping the fourth time to the NFC championship is a charm. My condolences on that interception that Farve threw against us in the playoffs last year.

Actually, I really only got into the NFL last year.... as a result of my entering a fantasy football league. On the labor day weekend last year (our draft day), I knew NOTHING.... to illustrate, I knew popular players... but unless it was a QB, I had no idea what position they played.

Through last season, I lived and died by what was going on in the NFL. I have an addictive personality and everyone in my ffl saw that. I studied about 20hrs/wk ..... finding out about my players... about ALL players. I'm now hooked on this stuff... Sunday is the only day deserving to be on the calendar beginning Sept.

Oh yeah... the team issue. After the past season.... after watching all the football that I watched... and since the QB that I often went to on my team was Matt Hasselbeck resulted in my watching all the Seattle games, I now cheer for the Seahawks.

So... the answer is the Seahawks. Please tell me you needed to know that crap above.

I did get into Carolina last year.... I picked up Steve Smith (my best WR for the season.. and I drafted T.O.) around Wk4, picked up Kasay about the same time and drafted Stephen Davis. He was my #2 RB behind Faulk (well, he was my #1 RB for about 6 weeks there while Faulk was out). Unfortunately I couldn't catch any of the games on tv.

Welcome to the fun Aim. 8) I have been playing fantasy football for about 15 years and I know exactly what you mean. My family knows they can pretty much render me useless on Sundays during football season.

Thanks Scott. I couldn't care less about football before joining the ffl. My buddy (the one that WILL be part of this forum if it kills me (waiting for him to go LIVE)) told me that I'd be hooked... he was so right. He laughed at me all season.. he was so right.

Let's just say I'm hoping the fourth time to the NFC championship is a charm.

Too bad the Flyers was the nearest Philly will ever see of a championship team. Why do you think everyone is rooting for Smarty Jones? Might be Philly's best chance at a winner in that town. I hope you know I am just kidding with you I have too deal with Eagles fans all season at my job. When the Eagles lost last season I took down my sup's Eagles banner and wrapped it around his chair while creating a nice nuese for his booblehead doll he had.

As for me I am a Denver Broncos fan.

P.S. If the Eagles dont win this year they truely suck. Check out the EASY schedule they have this year.

Cleveland Browns fan. As a kid I was a Steelers fan. They took mercy on me because I was a kid. As I got older, and once Art Modell left, and took the Browns to Baltimore, I became a Browns fan. When they drafted Tim Cooch, I puked, and stopped watching. When they got coach Davis, I became a fan again. Now, that Cooch is gone, it should get pretty in Cleveland in the fall.

Yes we definatly need a LAG ffl. I am actually a Redskin fan. Mostly because I can't afford NFL Sunday Ticket anymore, and that the are my local team. They really have a good chance this year. Should be some good games against the Eagles and Cowboys.

I actually have two favorite teams, the Packers and who ever is playing the Vikings. I really wouldn't have a problem with the Pack going 2-14 every year as long as we beat the tar outa the Viks.

I actually had a wonderful dream the other night. It was early in September, the Vikings were flying to San Fran for a game and one of their engines stalled over the rockies. No one died when the plane went down but no one back home cared either, so no rescue party. Moss, Culpepper, and John Elway were the first to be eaten. :D The rest of the survivors lasted about two more days, until an asteroid the size of Lambeau Field hit them.

My hatred for the Vikings runs very, very, very deep.

I have liked the Cowboys ever since I was a little boy, back in the day with Tony Dorsett. I tend to stick with my teams through the best and the worst of times. Lately a lot more bad times with the Cowboys than good. Hopefully the TUNA will keep them on the right track and get rid of Quincy Carter. God he sucks. My second favorite team is any team playin those damn redskins! :cus:

I don't get to wraped up in pro sports, but I do watch some football every now and then. I have two teams that I usually root for. The Raiders, which is the only pro football game I have ever been to. I was young and my grandfather took me to see them in Oakland. I had a blast. Since I have lived in Connecticut for most of my life and we don't have a pro sports of our own, I root for the Patriots as the local team.

OK,

The football junkies have weighed in with their favorite teams, but who do you think is going to win it all this year?

As an Eagles fan I NEVER say we are going to win, since we have never ever won a Super Bowl, but I got believe we are one of if not the favorites this year. With the additon of The Big Ticket on Defensive End and T.O. at wideout let's just say we got the skills to pay the bills. That being said, we'll probably loose in the NFC championship game, again. So close, but oh so far, just like every other Philadelphia team.

I'm afraid to ask what the Vikes did to you, so I won't.

Every Pack fan that rips me, I always remind them that we are the perennial also ran - 4 superbowls = 4 losses.

And we got spanked by the Giants 44-0 the one and only year it looked like we would win it all.

Compared to how many superbowls the Pack has won?

How do you Giants Fan Boys feel about getting Warner? I've always liked him and felt bad that he fell so fast. Hope is healthy and he does well in NY (just not well enough to get ahead of my Birds) This will at least take some pressure off of Eli, since Warner will probably be the starter for a few games.

And how bout them Cowboys, signing 67 year old Vinnie Testaverde. Man they are desperate for a quaterback.

Sidenote of NFL interest. I was in Philly having dinner with a few friends last night and ended up sitting next to Terrel Owens. He's a big dude. The rock in his ear was even bigger.

MikeyParmigiana

It doesn't matter what QB they have. The Ram's problem seems to be the arrogance of Mike Martz. He's stubborn and doesn't seem to realize half the talent he has. Talk about underutilizing Marshall Faulk...

Just saw this post and I wanted to add my :2cents:

I am huge Lions Fan. Yeah they suck. I have season tickets and everything. For College football - I go crazy for the Michigan State Spartans.

Sometimes I will go to the spartan game on Saturday and then the Lions game on Sunday. Great stuff.

Needless to say - I don't think I will have to fight people for either of those teams in NCAA and ESPN this year.

And yes - I will be getting both games Kracker. I am looking forward to beating you at some NCAA!!!

I hope you cheeseheads enjoy his worhless @$$.

Actually, I think Green Bay is the perfect place for him. He is very competive and has pretty good talent, but his decision making skills were very lacking. Perhaps a year with Farve will teach him what he needs to know.

Also, I know Farve is an iron man, but I have a feeling he will miss a game or two this year. And I have seen Pederson start a couple of games, and he is AWFUL.
