one of my xbox controllers has finally taken a dump and I need a new one...should I buy another MS controller or should I go for another.

The Madcatz controllers come with a 5 year warranty if you want some security in your purchase. MS controllers don't come with any kind of warranty which I personally think sucks. However, I like the FPS controller for the shooting genre and I switch between the madcatz micro and the controller s for the other games. However, the madcatz micro may be a little small for your hands. I suggest you check some of these out to see which fits you better.

I bought that stupid FPS controller and it broke on the 5th round of RS3. Must have been a fluke, but I still returned it rather than exchanging it.
I like the original controller (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005O0I7/qid=1084236090/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/102-9668501-1161748?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846).

Thanks for the suggestions. I will probably get an Xbox S controller. That is what I am used to. I looked at the FPS last night and it was way to funky looking.

The FPS is STILL the only controller I use. It takes a little while to get use to, but once you do it SPANK-TAKULAR.

I agree with Frag about this controller for FP shooters. However, I haven't used it for any of the other games I play since the face buttons are hidden and sometimes I need to look at the heck I'm doing.

I love the original controller the best. If you remember Microsoft did lots of play testing and focus groups. And if you hold the controller properlly all controls are at an angle that your hands are naturally at when holding the controller...
Best controller ever

I'm partial to the "S" but I find that the original is a but more fluid....

I'd be ok with the S if they moved the black and white buttons back up above the diamond...and the diamond needs to be at an angle like the duke.

I love my S controller...probably would have gone crazy being stuck with that massive ham of a controller. I even got rid of the one that came with my box because friends were bitching that I stuck them with the "oversized, crappy controller" as they got their ass kicked. :D

Sorry to hear you guys have little hands LOL
Seriously though its not that big, you just have to not hold it like the Dual Shock...I hate that controller its too tiny and not ergo.

Chord, I would say that I have big hands........6'-4" and can palm a basketball with ease...........but I'm partial to the "s" controller and the madcatz micro.

He's lying... he's about 5'-4". 125 lbs. He can hardly hold a beer bottle in his hands much less palm a basketball...
