Ok, with all the hype on these boards and the 5 dollar price break, I decided to stop by EB and pick up a copy of Phantom Dust for $15. I have no idea what this game is about, how to play, or...well...anything. Is it going to be necessary to play through the single player campaign to get the hang of things? Any advice someone could give me would be helpful as well.

I would Say Definetly take the time to play the Single Player. you will unlock helpful skills and the every popular arsenal. It's a great game and requires a lot of strategy ( I still suck Big Time but it's a lot of Fun). Good Luck! .

The cool thing about the SP is the first chapter is pretty much a tutorial that slowly walks you through how the arsenals, etc. work as you play & advance. It was easy enough for me to pick up, which means anybody can do it... ;-)

I just picked it up, too, and had the same question. Sounds like the answer is to play SP 1st and then head online with it. When I bought mine, the guy said "wow, you must be a hard core gamer, only they play Phantom Dust because it got no press." Yeah, right. :rotfl: I just gave him a knowing smile and let him come to his own conclusion...

I haven't even opened the game, yet but send me a FR and maybe we can flail around together trying to figure it out...

Mine said the same thing when I bought it. He then went on to mention all sorts of strange skills and "Bitchen Arsenals" I just looked at him. :-S

I probably won't be on tonight but you never know. Also, you're 3 hours ahead of me you "late" shouldn't be an issue. Most of the folks on EDT play too early for me to catch up to them.

Hey there people! After I saw the post Phantom Dust 14.99 I broke down and bought it. One of these days my wife will have my head. Halo 2 and a router one month ago. Map Pack two weeks ago. DVD playback Kit(for Halo 2 Col Ed.)1 week ago. Phantom Dust yesterday. Enogh already.

I played the first 3 missions last night. I was stoked. Yeah the missions were easy but Phantom dust was just the game I was loking for to break up all the Halo I've been playing. The Phantom Dust characters are sweet looking the environments are presented well and I think this might be the last semi RPG we see for the XBOX(not that there are many to begin with. Also , I use to play magic the gather(the card version) so Phantom Dust will keep my attention without having to spend more dough.

Well I'll be send FRs soon and if anyone wants to hit me up for a game....

Bring it.

Not that I have any skills yet.

There are a few of us old MtG players here. I played the original edition with the black lotus and other cards they had to remove. I played up until about Ice Age when they got too greedy and just started releasing different expansions upon expansions. Oh I think something about the Dark I also played till.

So anyone play that MtG game on xbl? I think it's pretty cheap now

I heard MTG for xbl wasnt that great. I would be into it if it were just a straight up card game like the original with some fancy action happening in the background. I played the demo and didnt like it.
