Story over at Xbox 360 Fanboy (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/10/24/fable-ii-players-report-game-breaking-glitch/)

Wanted to pass this along to our Fable II players before they hit this part of the game:

We've been receiving reports from several gamers -- and the Lionhead forums are positively buzzing -- about a game breaking glitch in Fable II (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/tag/fable-2). The glitch occurs during the quest called "Monk's Quest," in which players are tasked with speaking to the Abbot of the Temple of Light in Oakfield. Apparently, if players run into the temple, begin the conversation with the Abbot, and then leave the region before the conversation is finished, they are be unable to resume the quest, thus preventing them from completing the main story. Lionhead is currently working on the issue and advises all players (http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/3157137.aspx) to make sure to finish the conversation and cut scene before leaving the area. At the moment there is no fix for those who have already encountered the glitch.

Another glitch discovered in the game causes those who take one of their heroes into co-op with another player starting a new game. Apparently, when leaving childhood, all experience and gold will be wiped from the co-op character. Lionhead hopes to address this glitch in a title update, but advises players (http://community.lionhead.com/forums/permalink/3148902/3149173/ShowThread.aspx#3149173) to only play co-op after the childhood stage has been completed.

Thanks Hampster! I'll remember that for if/when I play through again. If it's your first time through, why would you skip conversations?

If people are skipping the conversation they don't care about the main quest anyway.

Because the main quest dialog tends to be boring and slow? I get the point after 2 lines, the rest is just fluff.

Its a story. Stories have fluff. How often have you walked into a monastery and said 'Hi' and the Abott looks at you and says "Go get reknown" I'm guessing never. No he always hems and haws and explains some stuff and then tells you to go build a statue of yourself in the town square.

Guess I'm old fashioned. I thought a big part of the enjoyment of an RPG was the story. :-S

The problem with the particualr scene is that the priest looks just like a peon, and no one of importance. and on top of that you dont get the "press A" to skip conversation. That said, I rushed past the priest only to be given this warning message.

The level you are playing is not completed yet, if you decide to leave you will not be able to play the mission again" (somthing like that)

Anyone who leaves the quest at that point has only themselves to blame!!!!
