Anyone have interest in this one? I am a huge fan and can't afford to update my PC to be able to handle this so I will be picking up for the 360 when released. LOTR: BFME II actually was pretty good for the console so I have high expectations for this one.

Also does anyone have any info on launch dates for this one because I am seeing on IGN its supposed to be out today but I can't find any info confirming or denying the launch date.

I just have a problem with RTS games on the console. The menu controls just aren't as smooth as they are on PCs.
I wanted to like LOTR Middle Earth for the 360, but again, it came down to the menu controls.

I loved BFMEII but only got to play MP a few times with BDragonlord. It was a blast and I would have liked to play it more so I may try out the demo of this one if it's similar.

The only downside is that this game will release fairly close to the Halo 3 MP Beta so I envision everyone only playing that for the month of May since it's only going to last for 3 weeks. By then, C&C3 might be off the radar as far as the MP goes if there are other games that come out in the meantime.

Canada doesn't have Gamefly. I think the closest thing is Zip.ca but it isn't nearly as good or quick in terms of turnaround for games. I tried it and its WAY WAY easier to just go rent from Blockbuster, Just my honest opinion.

i'm downloading the demo right now. I was going to get this game regardless. I love the command and conquer series. I am actually restraining myself from buying the PC version. I did contemplate getting the PC version now and then the 360 version later, but i that just isn't financially smart. i can't wait for this game either way.

i played the SP and MP. SP is pretty much what it has always been in the past. MP is where it is at. I played 2 MP games last night. Pretty exciting. The first game i got stomped, but the second one i did the stomping. you kind of test out what works and then implement it later on. it all comes down to whom can build attack units faster. I won't share my strategies right now b/c they need some work, but when the game comes out if someone plays me then they will understand what i am talking about.
The fact that i don't have a mouse no longer matters. the controls with the 360 controller is pretty easy to use. Basic training is short and really gets you prepared for a real battle. Those new to the series will find it exciting and the learning curve is not difficult at all. The demo does a good job, but as with most demos the actual game always ends up being so much better graphically, and in gameplay . this is a must have

If you played BFMEII, you will have a feel for the controlls. It lloks like it will be a Great Contiunation of the C & C series for a console.

I played the training portion part of the demo last night. They kept what worked from the controls in BFME II and improed on them significantly. The controls were much smoother and easier to use than they were in BFME II. Me likey.

I totally get you. but here the No late fees work like this you get a one week rental witha one week grace period (no restocking fees), Then after that you get 2 more weeks where you can return the game and pay only 1.99 in restocking fees so you can in fact keep the game for 3 to 4 weeks and it only ended up costing you between 8 -12 bucks depending! For me Blockbuster is perfect. I did a trial run with Zip.ca and found the service was horrible the turnaround on the games was garbage (like a week and a half) so I didn't even get to exchange my games once during the trial period so for me Blockbuster is MUCH better here in Canada. I hope one day Gamefly will make a break into the canadian market but the one thing I give Zip .ca Credit for is you can get movies or games They just need a quicker turnaround time for it to be viable IMHO.

I played through the first 7 missions or so last night. Its a good game, but I liked BFME II better. The character models don't seem to be as detailed as in BFME II but the terrain (especially the cities) look very nice. I think the controls have been improved since BFME II but I still wish they'd give me a way to select small groups of troops quickly like you can by dragging a box around them with a mouse. The tech tree is simpler than in BFME II so that will appeal to some people while others prefer a more complicated tech tree. The story is interesting but it hasn't really sucked me in because I read too many review that were full of spoilers that pretty much ruined it for me. The game is way too easy. I've been playing through on hard an not having any troubles at all beating every misson the first time through. IN BFME II I failed missions regularly on the default difficulty. The real meat of these types of games is online in multiplayer which I haven't tried yet, but I look forward to. Just based on the single player game I'd give it a 7/10. That may improve with some multiplayer action.

Loving the game, just wish the EA servers were better. BDragon, Blast and I were trying to get a multiplayer game going for what seemed like the better part of an hour. Ed and I could join Brian separately, but we could never get on the same server. So annoying. I always knew Ed and I were incompatible, but that's ridiculous.

Well I just finished the GDI campaign on Hard, I was dissapointed to learn that the easier achievements don't stack, in otherwords if I want the achievement for beating the GDI campaign on Easy or Medium I will have to back and replay the entire GDI campaign. Bummer.

I've been able to set up private games without a problem, and I think deadly has been able to as well.

It worked out well for me on my first match, but on my second match I couldn't break through Rusty's defense. I curse those Obelisks of Light!! I almost had him, but I needed one more wave, and that's when he got tired of me picking on him.

there is a way around those obelisks. next time we play i will show you. there is a sneaky way of doing it. it will work a few times til everyone gets smart on it then there is a 2nd way in which you can totally score everytime regardless of opponent strategy. i can't wait to play with you guys online again, but everytime i see some of you on either the room is full or i have to jump off.

Spying on me? Yeah i've finished it. I've gone back and played the scrin missions on medium and easy so that I could totally school the computer, that was fun, not sure i'm up for playing through the entire GDI or NOD campaigns again though. I found the hardest mission in the game to be the last NOD mission. I just wasn't fast enough. I do want to get some online play in though. The Scrin are cool, but their units seem to build soooo slow. I like the NOD for their bombers, and the GDI for their tanks. and the scrin for the tripods. Tripods rock. Problem with playing this with other people is that you never really get a chance to build up all through the tech tree and really get out a variety of advanced units and buildings, probably just as well though because if you did the games would take forever.

I played a couple SP games this afternoon, and finally unlocked the NOD missions.

I got this game , but I'm not very good at it though :( if anyone wants to play online with me let me know! Looks like a great game so far though.

I rented this one over the weekend. It's pretty fun but the acting in the cutscenes is so cheesy. If you liked LOTR BFME II you'll enjoy this one.

looks like C&C3 will be getting an expansion pack the first of next year:

The first expansion to Command & Conquer 3 will be called Kane's Wrath, and will appear in early 2008.

The campaign will follow Kane's rise back to power after the second Tiberium War, played partially through a "Global Domination" meta-game, described as "Risk on steroids." New units, upgrades and powers for each of the factions are also included. The expansion will launch simultaneously on Xbox 360 and PC, but console owners will also be receiving a new radial interface in the expansion (as seen above).

I love this game I am always willing. I finally finished the single player campaign. I found the scrin campaign particularly difficult.

the mission i have found most difficult so far is the GDI Sarajevo mission. the mission itself is not so bad, it is the bonus objective of trying to destroy a NOD avatar with your commando that has me ready to go crazy! last night i destroyed 3 avatars with my commando before it finally gave me the credit for the objective!
