Am I missing something here or is that correct?

How are you supposed to have your own single player game and maybe some co-op games with others?

My brother just got LIVE and GoW so we can bond via the co-op campaign.

I figured I'd keep my own single player save, a co-op save with my brother and one or two others co-op game saves with LAGgers.

Thus allowing whomever was involved to pick up where we left off but that doesn't seem to be the case- I think that just sucks! http://www.lagxbl.com/forum/images/smilies/angry%20grin.gif

That's how I understand it.
Another thing that got me is the length of the campaign, I was able finished it in just under 8hrs.

It does suck, I guess you just have to go through the campaign with the same people, or start it all over. Kind of stinks.

From your one save you can start at any checkpoint that you've already past tho, so that outta get you to the same end. Right?

What difficulty level you beat the game on Duplex?

I went through on Casual. I had a lot of help from atomic. Thursday night we spent a good 4hrs on co-op, and blasted through 2/3 of the game.
I'll start the next one on Hardcore.

You can also use a save on a memory card this way you have at least 2. Thats what I do when I want to play a game at the same time at different difficulty levels. The easy level teaches me things I can then use at the harder level.

I've been trying to play the campiagn through on Hardcore and I'm generally getting my @$$ handed to me. I went with hardcore because i'm of the opinion games have gotten a lot easier than they used to be. Of course I forgot I'm horrible at shooters. IF they bad guys would just stand there and let me shoot them I"d still miss most of the time.

My son and I are going through it on hardcore right now.

I haven't played casual yet but hardcore seems to be pretty fair so far.

Props to Wise- saw him playing on the insane level earlier this afternoon!

I lost my entire campaign because of this BS.
I assumed it was referring to co-op campaign, so after playing with Zero, Im back at the beginning.

I was damn near the end of act 3.

Im sooooooo glad I get to fight the berserker over again.

Bro I couldn't find this option. Only a option to continue from the last check point, not any check point I've missed. How do I access that?

I'll look tonight at the menu and see if I can help.

This might work... but it not very convenient. Save your single player campaign on a second profile on your 360(aka one you can't acess XBL with. And anything you want on live use with your subsciption XBL Account. It's kinda ridiculous. It's a cutting edge game that can't save more than once?

Maybe it's one of the fixes that Epic is working on.

Thanks for the idea scoots!

I really hope they change that.

I think they dropped the ball on the saves though.

Otherwise I love the game!

I'm sure a software update for this would be insanely easy. A bad oversight for sure.

Epic is already working on an update, but this may or may not be included.

The problem with COD3 is you need a lot of players now as the maps are so big. You don't see anyone if there are less than 8 of you. At least not the games I played over the weekend. Mind you, people could have just been hiding and laughing. :-$

Im whittling the old lady down for CoD3. She says I gotta finish GoW first.

See you in 2010.

I may have to recruit some help though. Having a hell of a time getting past this one spot.

Campaign -> Single Player -> Load -> Select a Chapter (1-5)

When I do this I'm presented with a list of about 10 items from checkpoints within the Chapter. Are you not?
