Microsoft announced at their E3 keynote last month that Last.fm would be coming to Xbox Live. We're working on an interview with key players at both Last.fm and Microsoft to bring you more details about the collaboration soon. However, we can share one tidbit: today we spoke with Christina DeRosa, a general manager for XBL, and she let us know who the service will be available to.

The development team's official blog has announced that the title/service/thing will be out at the end of June, with final content passes currently under way at Microsoft.

This service maintenance is to prepare for some of the recently announced features that will be available later this year.
Let me reiterate: When the service returns, you will not have any new functions or features. This is for scheduled maintenance

Yes, the new player has some additional hardware, like a built-in HD radio, HD output and a ridiculously awesome OLED screen. However, the big news is that Microsoft is finally going to bring some additional, but yet undescribed integration between the Zune and the 360. Also, the Zune video marketplace is going to be replacing the current Xbox Live video marketplace, which will probably mean a larger selection to choose from! More details should be coming next week at E3.
